I remember getting on a rusty old amtrak train late one steamy august day and being shipped off to florida to my uncles house where my dad was living at the time. Armed with my old clunky cassette walkman to keep me company and a trusty backup of double A batteries lined my pockets like gold all just to get me through this hell ride. It was a long cramped up journey and was just accented so perfectly by The Cure and their album 'Pornography'. I was 15 at the time and it just made my miserable time feel even more dramatic and depressing. Having to leave all my friends to go into a discusting hot state that was so emotionally cold was just tragic at the time. I remember the slow hard drum beats going to rythm of the 'slowcamotive and the strange red flashing lights passed in the blackness of the night seemed liked they were flashing to the songs sad lonley beats.
