Statistics EP
.............................................................

Recently this past summer while looking around on the Jadetree website I came across the new Statistics EP. As soon as I heard the sample it was like an infection that took over my brain and I had to hear more. Not soon enough did I recieve the ep in the mail with the 5 magical songs that have such power to transport yet seem just way too short. Which cause me to play it on loop in my Cd. It is perfect music for the fall the way it evokes memories with its nostalgic yet forward looking sound. A bit of the cure, jesus and marychain and pixies and even yes a particular modest mouse song pops in mind....are recalled when listening to this album yet they have their very own distinct sound... much like someone with a sweet tooth liking all things made of sugar yet all things made of sugar are very different yet oh so delicious.

It's the best just driving around on a fall day kind of music with the chaos of leaves blowing around dancing to the rythms of songs like 'Another day' or 'Hours seemed like days'. Much like the leaves blowing around it stirs up memories in my head,an overall swirling frenzy of fun and feeling of nostalgia overcome me. I suppose the mix of familiar yet new sounds and the lyrics cause this to happen. It's an EP so rich yet so short it does leave me wanting more. To me Statistics are like the friend you meet and you feel like you have known them for much longer...these songs really reach my core and linger there happily. I highly recommend this EP.
